Yarde Metals is seeking a Cut-to-Length Operator to join our operations team in Southington, CT. This role processes coiled metal into sheets on the CTL line with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and teamwork.

The operator sets up, runs, and troubleshoots the cut-to-length line, ensuring precise dimensions and acceptable tolerances. Candidates should be comfortable with heavy machinery and possess basic math skills and attention to detail.

Job Summary

Yarde Metals is seeking a Cut-to-Length Operator to join our operations team. A Cut-to-Length Operator sets up, operates and tends the cut to length line to safely process coiled metal into sheets.

Job Responsibilities

Requirements & Qualifications

***This is a SAFETY SENSITIVE position: requires operating heavy machinery.***

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Warehouse, material handling, and forklift experience preferred.
• Must be able to read, understand and carry out work instructions.
• A consistent high level of attention to detail is required.
• Must have basic knowledge of math (i.e. add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions and decimals) for calculating yields.
• Experience related to the duties of operating a saw is strongly preferred.
• Able to pass background check, drug screen, physical, meet physical requirements of the position.
  • Ability to pass a human performance evaluation to meet physical requirements of the job (lifting up to 70 lbs., pushing, pulling, etc.)

Compensation

• Expected Base Salary Range: $26.55 - $28.83/HRLY

The salary range provided reflects the anticipated base pay for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the position's work location and geographic market, the candidate's skills, experience and education, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations
