Job summary

FedEx Logistics in Tonawanda, NY is seeking an entry specialist to coordinate US Customs documentation for imports, obtain correct classifications, and process records. You will collaborate with carriers, brokers, and internal teams to ensure timely, compliant shipments and exceptional customer service.

Hybrid work arrangement; typical starting pay is $21.45 per hour. Must have HS Diploma or GED; data entry and MS Office skills required; 6 months experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate documentation required by US Customs/Government Agencies for entry of goods into the US.
• Provide impeccable customer service.
• Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release from database, SOPs, tariff book, internet or customs.
• Data entry and processing of import related documentation for submission to US Customs.
• May handle all Participating Government Agencies (PGA) filings.
• Maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements.
• Adhere to all international importing and exporting regulations.
• Work with internal staff, departments, customers to deliver high level of service.
• Process agency brokerage shipments.
• May handle remote filings.
• Ensure all government and organizational policies are followed.
• Paid training provided.

Job description

Responsible for coordination of the documentation required by US Customs/Government Agencies for entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers

Provide impeccable customer service

Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release from database, SOP's, tariff book, internet or customs.

Data entry and processing of various import related documentation for submission to US Customs and may handle all PGA's (participating Government Agencies)

Maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in compliance with all record keeping requirements.

Adhere to all international importing and exporting regulations.

Work closely with other internal staff, departments, other fedex operations, and customers to deliver high level of service to customers.

Process agency brokerage shipments.

May handle remote filings

Ensure all government and organizational policies are followed.

Performs other duties as assigned. Paid Training Provided.

Preferred Qualifications

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 4:00 PM-12:30 AM. Work Location: This is a hybrid position based in Tonawanda, NY. Candidates must live within 50 miles of the FedEx campus and be available to work onsite several times per week. Work-from-home eligibility begins after successful completion of training.

Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors. Permitted by law.
