A leading company in logistics is looking for a Customs Coordinator in Indianapolis. You will be responsible for managing customs documentation and providing exceptional customer service while ensuring compliance with regulations. This hybrid role includes training and requires minimal supervision. Candidates must hold a high school diploma and be skilled in data entry and communication.
Responsible for coordinating the documentation required by US Customs and other Government Agencies for the entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers.
Provide impeccable customer service.
Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release from databases, SOPs, tariff books, internet, or customs sources.
Perform data entry and processing of various import-related documentation for submission to US Customs, including handling all Participating Government Agencies (PGAs).
Maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements.
Adhere to all international importing and exporting regulations.
Collaborate closely with internal staff, departments, FedEx operations, and customers to deliver high-quality service.
Process agency brokerage shipments.
May handle remote filings.
Ensure compliance with all government and organizational policies.
Perform other duties as assigned. Paid training provided.
