Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a detail-focused FTZ Operations Specialist in Miami to manage Foreign Trade Zone activities and ensure CBP regulatory compliance. You will prepare CBP forms, maintain ICRS records, and coordinate with importers and warehouse staff to keep inventory accurate and compliant.

The role requires strong data analysis, attention to detail, and solid communication skills. Experience with FTZ procedures and CBP forms is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
  • 2+ years in Customs brokerage, FTZ operations, or Trade Compliance.
  • Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) preferred but not required.
  • Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to analyze data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).
  • Proficient in ACE and ABI systems; FTZ ICRS proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage FTZ operations and ensure compliance with CBP regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with CBP regulations and FTZ procedures.
  • Prepare and submit customs forms (Entry Forms, CBP 214, 3461, 7501) and invoices.
  • Prepare and submit FTZ reports to CBP (weekly, monthly, annual).
  • Support internal and external audits related to FTZ operations.
  • Coordinate FTZ activities (admissions, withdrawals, inventory movements).
  • Ensure timely filing of CBP Form 214 and related documentation.
  • Operate and maintain FTZ Inventory Control and Recordkeeping System (ICRS).
  • Monitor FTZ inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with importers, logistics providers, internal teams, and warehouse staff.
  • Serve as point of contact for FTZ and customs inquiries; provide guidance on procedures.
  • Liaise with CBP and other regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Track customs entries and FTZ admissions to ensure timely processing.
  • Maintain CBP Form 214, entry summaries, and FTZ inventory records; ensure proper retention.

Job description

  • Maintain compliance with CBP regulations and FTZ procedures

  • Prepare and submit customs forms, including Entry Forms, CBP 214, 3461, 7501, and invoices

  • Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and annual FTZ reports to CBP

  • Support internal and external audits related to FTZ operations

Requirements


  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)

  • 2+ years of experience in Customs brokerage, FTZ operations, or Trade Compliance

  • Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) (preferred but not required)

  • Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) (preferred but not required)

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
