Job summary

ClearFreight is seeking a detail-oriented Customs Entry Writer in El Segundo, CA to prepare and file entries with CBP, review documents, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will input data for CBP and agencies, resolve discrepancies, and assist customers with entry questions and post-entry matters.

The role requires knowledge of HTSUSA, strong communication, and accurate billing across shipments from entry through delivery. A high school diploma is required; a degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and multitasking in fast-paced environments.
• Knowledge of CBP requirements and HTSUSA preferred.
• Experience with customs entry processing and documentation management.
• Proficient in data entry and basic math for accurate billing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and file customs entries with CBP for timely release.
• Process shipment documents (invoices, packing lists, B/Ls, origin certificates).
• Identify discrepancies and escalate compliance concerns as needed.
• Input data to CBP and government agencies and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Track shipments through customs clearance, notify delays or issues.
