Job summary

PSA BDP in Houston is seeking an Entry Writer- Logistics Coordinator to manage the preparation of documents for federal government discharge of foreign cargo and act as liaison among importers, carriers, and the U.S. Customs Service.

The role requires at least 3 years of relevant experience, a college degree, and strong communication and organizational skills to ensure accurate data entry, invoicing, and customer communications. This is a permanent, non-management position in Operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• A college degree is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Teamwork is highly desired.
• Familiar with customs clearance procedures (import/export).
• Knowledge of import/export procedures and customs policy.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to learn various computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Act as focal point of contact for existing and new customers.
• Daily arrangement of customs clearance, and monitor the customs brokers daily procedure & reports.
• Implement SOP perfectly to meets customer specific requirement.
• Working with Coordinator/Documentation in terms of System data entry and checking.
• Invoice preparing, cost checking and presenting, job checking and closing.
• Support manager to meet with customer for better communication, efficient cooperation, or removing the misunderstanding, etc.
• Complete other related jobs assigned by the team leader.
