BCS Placement is seeking a Customs Entry Writer for a full-time hybrid role based in Itasca, IL, with some work-from-home days. You will prepare and process customs entries for air, ocean, and ground shipments, ensuring compliance with U.S.

Customs and other regulatory agencies. Responsibilities include reviewing documentation, classifying commodities, verifying tariff codes, and coordinating with carriers, brokers, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of customs regulations, HTS classification, and import compliance procedures.
• Experience preparing and filing customs entries for air, ocean, or ground freight.
• Strong data entry, documentation review, and attention to detail skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with logistics software systems.
• Prior experience in freight forwarding, customs brokerage, or logistics operations is preferred.
• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment (office and remote) with minimal supervision.
