Odyssey Logistics is seeking a Sr. Customs Entry Writer in a hybrid role. The position focuses on accurate entry preparation and FTZ activities, requiring deep CBP knowledge and meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as an Import Entry Writer within a licensed CHB
• FTZ experience appreciated, handling admissions, withdrawals, and zone status changes
• Strong knowledge of CBP regulations, HTSUS, valuation, tariffs, and trade compliance

Responsabilités

• Prepare, validate, and transmit import entries (CBP Forms 3461, 7501, 7512, AES) in CBP-compliant manner
• Ensure timely and accurate cargo clearance while meeting deadlines
• Review invoices, packing lists, B/Ls, certificates of origin and other docs
• Determine HTS classification, duties, valuation, origin, and applicability of trade programs
• Coordinate with carriers and internal teams to resolve clearance issues
• File FTZ admissions, withdrawals, and zone changes
• Maintain FTZ records, reconcile entries, optimize duties
• Support CBP requests for information and notices of action
• Provide guidance on duty savings and compliance strategies
• Maintain records per CBP requirements
• Serve as subject matter expert for FTZ and customs brokerage questions
• Assist onboarding of new FTZ clients
