Job summary

FreightTAS LLC in Cerritos, CA seeks a Customs Entry Writer with at least 1 year of current Customs Entries experience in freight forwarding. The role includes preparing documents, processing entries, and clearing goods through U.S. CBP and PGA rules.

You will communicate with agents and clients, maintain accurate files and assist with billing. Salary is $50k–$58k depending on experience, with benefits including 401k, dental and health insurance.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of current experience handling customs entries in freight forwarding.
• Knowledge of international import transportation and import brokerage procedures.
• Familiarity with U.S. CBP and PGA requirements including clearance process.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Arrival Notices and file set-up with data from agents or freight forwarders
• File and process customs entries for clearance
• Coordinate with CBP, PGA, and other agencies to obtain release
• Provide proactive customer service to clients
• Billing of files and related documentation (e.g., bills of lading)
• Ensure PGA guidelines and ISF requirements are followed
