Job summary

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in customs brokerage or related field.
• Proficiency with customs brokerage software and MS Office.
• Knowledge of HS codes and tariff classifications.

Responsibilities

• Customs Entry Preparation: Prepare and review customs entries for accuracy and compliance.
• Documentation Handling: Manage import documentation including invoices, bills of lading, and origin certificates.
• Tariff Classification: Assist in determining correct HS classifications for goods imported.
• Customs Compliance: Ensure entries comply with all applicable laws and procedures, including duty calculation and valuation.
• Client Communication: Gather information from clients and respond to inquiries.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records for auditing and reporting purposes.
• Software Utilization: Use customs brokerage software and databases to file entries.
• Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve customs-related issues or discrepancies.
