Job summary

Rhenus Logistics is seeking a Customs Brokerage Entry Writer in Houston, TX. The role focuses on independently preparing, reviewing, and processing U.S. customs entries with high accuracy and regulatory compliance.

You will resolve complex documentation issues with limited supervision and coordinate with customers and internal teams. The candidate should have at least 3 years of hands-on U.S. customs brokerage experience, strong CBP knowledge, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in U.S. customs brokerage or a closely related import compliance role.
• Direct entry-writing experience is required.
• Strong working knowledge of CBP regulations, import documentation, and tariff classification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process customs entries in accordance with CBP regulations and internal procedures.
• Review invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and other import docs for accuracy.
• Verify IOR, country of origin, valuation, and tariff classifications prior to submission.
• Identify HTS classifications and applicable duties and fees.
