Job summary

PLS Logistics Services is seeking an Entry Specialist to prepare, review, and transmit customs entries to CBP, ensuring compliance with federal regulations. You will manage import shipments from document receipt through customs release and serve as primary contact for customers, carriers, and government agencies to ensure timely clearance.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of customs brokerage or import operations experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of CBP regulations, customs entry procedures, and the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
• Understanding of customs valuation, country of origin rules, and import compliance requirements.
• Experience using ACE, ABI, and customs brokerage software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and transmit customs entries to CBP in compliance with regulations.
• Manage import shipments from document receipt through customs release and coordinate with customers, carriers, and government agencies.
• Review invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and supporting documents for accuracy before submission.
• Verify tariff classification, customs valuation, country of origin, admissions, and duties.
• Coordinate PGA requirements (FDA, APHIS/USDA, EPA, FDA, etc.) and government agency filings.
• Monitor arrival, prioritize time-sensitive clearances, and track entry status through cargo release.
• Maintain complete and organized electronic shipment files per CBP policies.
