Job summary

DSV Air & Sea Inc. is seeking a Customs Specialist - Entry Writer in Mendota Heights, MN. You will handle transactions with U.S. Customs, conduct research, communicate with clients and CBP, manage entries, and monitor clearance and recordkeeping.

Requires 2–3 years in Customs brokerage, strong knowledge of regulations, and attention to detail. Licensing and certifications are preferred; Excel familiarity and ACE Portal experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in Customs brokerage.
• US Customs Brokerage License preferred or certification in a related area.
• Experience with various industries and commodities.

Responsibilities

• Review customs documents for CBP filing and accuracy.
• Verify classification and valuation with importers when needed.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations.
• Obtain documents to support claims or disclaims.
• Ensure timely payment of duties, taxes, or charges by CBP.
• Maintain documents under 19 CFR 163 and monitor clearances.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, brokers, and agencies.
• Attend trainings and support customs compliance procedures.
