Job summary

DSV Air & Sea Inc. in the USA (Laredo) is seeking a Customs Specialist - Entry Writer to manage CBP transactions and ensure proper entry and admissibility of merchandise.

You will research, communicate with clients and CBP, coordinate with brokers and internal teams, and maintain compliance records while paying attention to detail and deadlines. Experience in customs brokerage and working knowledge of ACE Portal are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Customs brokerage.
• Fluent in English (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Review customs documents filed with CBP for accuracy.
• Verify classification and valuation with the importer when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations.
• Obtain documents required to support claims or disclaims.
• Ensure timely payment of duties and other charges.
• Monitor and track customs clearances and resolve delays.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, brokers, and agencies to resolve issues.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations and procedures.
• Attend trainings and support compliance procedures.
