Job summary

DSV Air & Sea Inc. in Erlanger, KY seeks a Customs Specialist - Entry Writer to manage CBP entries, classifications, valuations, and documentation, ensuring admissibility of merchandise.

The role requires 2–3 years in customs brokerage; licenses and ACE Portal experience are preferred. This is a full-time position with hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, 401(k) with 5% match, paid time off and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Customs brokerage.
• Licenses/certifications preferred: U.S. Customs Brokerage License, certification in customs compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review of customs documents to be filed with CBP ensuring accuracy.
• Verify classification and valuation with the importer when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations.
• Obtain the appropriate documents required to support claims or disclaims.
• Ensure the proper and timely payment of duties, taxes, or other charges assessed or collected by CBP on merchandise.
• Maintain documents required under 19 CFR 163.
• Monitor and track customs clearances and resolve delays or issues.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, customs brokers, and government agencies to resolve customs-related issues.
• Maintain knowledge of customs regulations and procedures.
• Attend provided trainings.
• Support the development and implementation of customs compliance procedures and policies.
