Job summary

Expeditors seeks a Customs Clerk to ensure smooth and timely import/export processes, accurate data entry, and diligent document verification. You will support compliance with OPS, regulations, and internal controls while coordinating with internal teams and customers worldwide.

This role requires strong English, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure. Training and development programs are available as part of Expeditors’ commitment to growth.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of customs brokerage process and system.
• Knowledge of customs legislation, classification, valuation, and origin (desirable).
• Understanding of ocean, transcon and air documentation processes.
• Knowledge of air, road, and ocean transport.
• Good knowledge of incoterms (desirable).
• Hazardous Materials certification (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely customs process flow.
• Understand import/export customs DLSOP to fulfill customer instructions.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system.
• Track and trace customs files.
• Verify documents for import/export customs are compliant and correct.
• Comply with internal policies and external regulations.
• Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency.
• Maintain timely communications with internal and external stakeholders.
• Attend required training and adhere to company culture.
