Job summary

Buckland is seeking a Junior Customs Account Analyst to support reviewing and entering customs documents and processing shipments under standard operating procedures. The Junior Analyst may obtain additional information and seek guidance from more senior team members.

Location flexibility includes remote, hybrid, or office work. The position requires attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, and basic MS Office knowledge; prior customs software experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office.
• Basic knowledge of LVS program (CND only).
• Prefer experience with customs brokerage software.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Customs/Logistics industry experience preferred.
• Some positions may require CAD or USA regulations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of customer service to clients, vendors, and service providers.
• Prepare customs and internal documents accurately with guidance when necessary.
• Handle client queries promptly, efficiently and professionally.
• Contact clients or other brokers to request additional documents or information when needed.
• Respond to calls and questions from internal and external sources.
• Trace shipments and set up pre-arrivals at Customs.
• Escalate and report any issues or delays to the Team Leader.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

The Role

The position is responsible for receiving, reviewing, and entering customs documents and processing shipments based on standard operating procedures. The Junior Customs Account Analyst may obtain additional information and seek guidance from more senior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of customer service to clients, vendors, and service providers.
• Prepare customs and internal documents accurately with guidance when necessary.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Customs/Logistics industry related experience preferable.
• Applicants do not require CAD or USA work experience, but some positions may require CAD or USA standard regulations knowledge and experience.

Physical Demands

• Occasionally bend, squat, kneel, reach above shoulder, and frequently sit, handle objects, use fine finger movement.
• Occasionally must carry or lift loads up to 15 lbs.

Work Environment

• Frequently read, comprehend, write, perform calculations, communicate orally, reason and analyze.
