Job summary

Community Integrated Services is hiring a coach for the Customized Employment Team to assist artists and artisans in creating and selling artwork. You will support studio practice, packaging, branding, website development, and exhibitions, while helping to develop sales opportunities.

The ideal candidate has an artistic or craft practice and a strong network within the Philadelphia arts community. Responsibilities span customized and traditional coaching teams to best serve participants.

Responsibilities

  • Review participant files before shifts.
  • Provide travel training as needed to CIS offices or employment sites.
  • Collaborate with team members and other CIS departments to support participants.
  • Maintain detailed on-site performance records with daily notes.
  • Report schedules and changes promptly to the scheduler.
  • Follow schedules and alert for changes.
  • Read and respond to CIS emails and texts promptly.
  • Participate in scheduled meetings.
  • Train other coaches at job sites when needed.
  • Report unusual incidents or concerns immediately.
  • Pursue ongoing training to expand skills.

Position Overview

The Customized Employment Team is currently hiring a coach to work with artists and artisans to assist with the creation and sales of their artwork. Coaches assist artists with artwork creation by supporting them in their studio practice, assisting with packaging and branding, website creation, promotion of artist work, and developing individualized sales and exhibition opportunities. An ideal candidate will have personal artistic or craft practice and a strong network of relationships in the greater Philadelphia arts community. Coaching duties will be split between customized and traditional coaching teams.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Review the file for each participant you are scheduled to work with before your shift.
  • Provide travel training as needed, to the CIS office or to new place of employment.
  • Work effectively with your team members, members of the business development team, benefits counseling team, and CIS employees in specialized areas to support participants in the best possible way.
  • Maintain a detailed record of on-site performance by completing case notes daily.
  • Obtain participants schedules and report all schedules and appointments to the scheduling team by the required due date. Report any subsequent changes to the scheduler immediately.
  • Follow schedule as it is sent and alert appropriate people of any changes.
  • Read and respond, if needed, to all CIS emails and text messages in a timely manner.
  • Participate in meetings when scheduled.
  • Train other coaches at job sites, as needed.
  • Report any unusual incidents or employer concerns immediately.
  • Contribute to own skills and knowledge by attending and completing assigned training.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelors or Master of Fine Arts or substantive experience in the arts is required.
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products, specifically Outlook, Excel and Sharepoint.
  • Possess valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
  • Must have access to an automobile and internet access at home.
  • Must be able to pass all required background checks.
