Job summary

Community Interface Services is hiring a Job Coach to empower individuals with disabilities to pursue and maintain meaningful employment. You will advocate for needed supports, coach on job tasks, and help clients build confidence in a supportive, inclusive setting.

The role covers the Carlsbad to Cardiff area with an emphasis on person-centered coaching, patience, and clear communication. Benefits include training and professional development for a meaningful nonprofit career at CIS.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required, some college preferred.
• CA Driver's license, a working vehicle, and at least two years of driving experience.
• Ability to convey instructions clearly while listening to the needs of those you support.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with disabilities in the Carlsbad to Cardiff area, prioritizing tasks and ensuring work is completed efficiently.
• Advocate for supports or accommodations needed at work and coordinate with employers and the person supported.
• Provide personalized job coaching to help individuals develop skills and confidence in the workplace.

Community Interface Services hiring a Job Coach! This position earns a starting range of $23-25 per hour, with an open Monday-Friday and some Saturdays schedule. Plenty of training and professional growth opportunities are available, and you can earn a $1 increase upon completion of your Career Jumpstart Program!

Key Responsibilities

As a Job Coach, you will be supporting individuals with disabilities working within the Carlsbad to Cardiff area. Your responsibilities will include supporting prioritizing tasks, completing their work efficiently, and facilitating the relationship between the employer and the person you support. You are not responsible for their work but rather advocate for any support or accommodation needed at work. By offering personalized job coaching, you will help individuals develop their skills and confidence in the workplace, empowering them to thrive in their roles.
