Community Integrated Services is seeking compassionate, dependable Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities on their path to employment. In this role, you will help individuals identify career interests and support them at job sites to help them succeed at work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, college degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle.
• Ability to pass background checks and other pre-employment requirements.
• Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support and instruction to participants in all stages of job placement with employers to design training plans.
• Maintain a detailed record of on-site performance by completing daily case notes.
• Help participants be successful in their place of employment in the community.
• Develop community job leads for assigned individuals meeting their needs, desires, and capabilities.
• Match applicants to jobs, refer qualified applicants to employers, and conduct necessary follow-up when applicants are placed in jobs.
• Analyze and develop support strategies that may be used by the participant to do their job tasks. Emphasis on those most natural to the workplace.
• Work directly with participants to conduct assessments
• Consistently, provide written, verbal, and electronic communication to our participants, employers, families, funders, and other CIS team members.

Schedule and work environment

• Full-time, 37.5 hours/week or 30 hours/week


• Day / Evening/ Weekend shifts available


• Work throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding areas


• Work in the community


• Pay: hourly rate beginning at $18.00
