Job summary

Atmos Energy Corporation is seeking a customer service representative in a Monday–Friday daytime shift to handle billing questions, payments and service connections. The role primarily uses phone communication with some additional channels, operating within an established customer information system.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and strong verbal and written communication. It is a safety-sensitive role with pre/post-employment drug testing and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic arithmetic and data entry skills.
• Experience with a Customer Information System is a plus.
• Safety-sensitive position; pre/post-employment drug testing required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customers about service connections, disconnections, billing questions and payment arrangements by phone.
• Receive and process basic transactions and requests and forward issues to appropriate level of responsibility.
• Address customer issues using current company policies and procedures.
• Correct errors on customer accounts in the online system and communicate correct information to customers.
• Research discrepancies on accounts and verify customer identity and delinquent status as required.
• Handle calls to ensure safety and respond to potential emergency situations per procedures.
