Job summary

Optimal in Missouri City, TX seeks a Customer Service Representative to provide responsive order support and customer service. You will verify order details, answer calls, and assist with tracking, pricing inquiries, and problem resolution, maintaining strong customer relationships.

This on-site role requires an AA or equivalent and 1–3 years of experience, with English advanced and Spanish/Creole preferred. Expect routine use of MS Office and reporting tools.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Education can be substituted for Six months to one-year related experience and/or training.
• 1-3 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with answering phones and redirecting calls to appropriate departments.
• Handle Customer Calls requesting ETA of items already on order.
• Handle customer requests for Tracking and Confirmation Information.
• Handle Customer Inventory and Pricing Inquiries.
• Notify customers of cancellation of backordered items that become No Source.
• Run reports from the company’s software to review Open Order Status.
• Enter orders from customer faxed purchase orders or phone orders.
• Process part allocations and fax order confirmations to customers.
• Release orders on hold and issue Return Authorizations as needed.
• Investigate and resolve delivery problems and maintain customer relationships.
