Stanford University in Redwood City is seeking a Gifts Data Specialist to independently process complex and high-profile gifts, and to manage large biographical data with a focus on data integrity across multiple systems.
You will review daily gift receipts and acknowledgements, coordinate with development officers on large gifts, and contribute to process improvements, SOPs, and audits while training junior staff.

Budgeted Salary Range: The expected pay range for this position is $73,485 to $85,000 per year.
Fixed-term Position: This opportunity is a fixed-term position for two (2) years.
This position is located within the Office of Development. This position supports and ensures the timely processing of gifts to the University, maintains the integrity of all relevant gift-processing data and institutional documentation associated with gift operations, and handles tasks including adding new records and updating databases, processing gifts and pledges, conducting basic research, and reporting on and reconciling data issues.
Independently process complex and high-profile gifts and/or a high volume of biographical information. Support institutional offices with reporting, ensure compliance with regulations, and recommend improvements to systems and workflows.

Manage and process high volume of biographical data, includinganalyzing and monitoring entries for accuracy and completeness tomaintain data integrity and hygiene.
Review all daily gift receipts, acknowledgements and tributeletters that are sent to donors.
Coordinate with development officers on large or complexgifts.
Utilize multiple gift processing systems for high-profileactivities.
Determine gift allocation and reach out to officers forconfirmation.
Process credit card transactions and follow up on failedtransactions.
Develop and maintain expertise in database systems and assistwith new data features/patterns.
Analyze database information and identify processimprovements.
Recommend new processes and systems for testing.
Document SOPs
Ensure compliance through systematic internal databaseaudits.
Coordinate resolution of multi-area compliance issues.
Test and recommend workflow improvements withinparameters.
Train junior staff on systems and processes
Provide business support to development officers andfinance.
Propose new processes, improvements, and systems to improve datacollection and inconsistencies.

Bachelor’s and 3 years of relevant experience OR equivalentcombination
Technical: Intermediate gift systems expertise;troubleshoots multi-system issues; working knowledge of IRS regulations.Advanced ability in MS Office Suite and applications
Communication: Advanced correspondence anddocumentation; confident presentations; trusted partner to developmentofficers
