Position: Customer Service Technician

The primary goal of this role is to maintain high customer satisfaction among homeowners by facilitating warranty requests, either by making repairs or scheduling subcontractors. The technician is responsible for proactively resolving customer issues after home closing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Evaluate homeowner repair issues to determine warrantability
  • Process work orders and instructions from supervisors for repairs
  • Perform repairs such as carpentry, drywall, texture repair, and painting
  • Schedule and manage subcontractors for warranty repairs
  • Ensure repairs meet compliance standards
  • Certify completion of warranty work within contractor obligations
  • Develop rapport with subcontractors and homeowners
  • Follow up with homeowners to address concerns promptly and professionally
  • Process charge-back documentation and invoices
  • Conduct business professionally and ethically to serve customers and enhance company goodwill and profit
  • Work overtime as needed
  • Travel overnight as required
Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least three years of relevant experience, including carpentry, drywall, texture repair, and painting
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle capable of carrying supplies
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently
  • Proficiency with DRH Warranty applications on digital devices
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Proficiency in MS Office and email
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds; vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision
  • Exposure to outdoor weather, mechanical parts, high places, and electrical hazards; loud noise level
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior customer service experience
  • Experience with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs
