Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Team Member to assist the Team Leader in daily operations, including cash handling, merchandising, and regulatory compliance. You will lead and develop Team Members, uphold health and safety standards, and contribute to store programs and exceptional customer service.

You will model the company's values, strive for outstanding teamwork, and ensure smooth execution of store processes while supporting cost, margin, and labor targets under the guidance of the Team

Qualifications

• Retail experience: 18+ months in a Team Member role, with 6+ months of supervision.

Responsibilities

• Models and delivers outstanding customer service.
• Sets and achieves the highest standards of retail execution.
• Works with Team Leader to achieve cost, margin, expense and labor targets.
• Follows through on all customer questions and requests; resolves concerns as needed.
• Works with Team Leader to resolve team concerns or issues.
• Evaluates and documents Team Member work performance.
• Functions as point person and departmental lead in Team Leader's absence.
• Consistently communicates and models WFM vision and goals.
• Fosters a positive environment of teamwork, mutual respect, and morale.
• Maintains awareness of customer flows and directs Team Members to delight customers.
• Selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members to sustain a high-performance team.
• Provides timely performance evaluations.
