Job description

Customer Service Specialist (Order Management)

Join the American Red Cross and become part of the world's largest humanitarian network. We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Specialist to fulfill routine orders of blood products, provide excellent customer service, and ensure timely and cost-effective shipment of orders. This role involves supporting volunteers and maintaining high standards of service and operational efficiency.

Pay Rate: Starting at $16.00-$16.50 per hour (may vary by location)

Schedule:

• Full-time, remote position
• 2nd shift: 4:00 pm to 12:30 am Eastern time, 5 days/week (including weekends)
• Availability to work some holidays

Training: Flexible schedule required for the first 4-6 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fulfill orders for blood and pharmaceutical products and supplies.
• Manage data and use tools to monitor product and service information.
• Rotate inventory across facilities to maintain adequate supplies.
• Communicate proactively with hospital clients regarding product availability and shipments.
• Determine optimal transportation methods and resolve shipment issues.
• Investigate customer concerns and document interactions accurately.
• Assist with inventory management and product alternatives when needed.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of related experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Some travel may be required.
