Job summary

Lowe’s in Hickory, NC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to greet customers, help them find products, and provide friendly, knowledgeable service throughout the shopping experience.

You will assist with locating merchandise, stocking shelves, processing orders and deliveries, and collaborating with team members to meet customer needs in a dynamic retail environment. This role offers benefits and opportunities for growth within Lowe’s.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience using a computer to input, access, modify, or output information.
• 6 months of experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets.
• Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic.
• Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with or without an accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to Lowe’s, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
• Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
• Down stock merchandise by replenishing shelves and keeping areas organized.
• Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
• Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service.
• Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds).
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
