Job summary

KHS, a subsidiary of Salzgitter AG, is seeking a customer service specialist to manage inquiries, quotes, and orders, and to maintain CRM data in SAP Cloud. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and accurate terms.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree and 5+ years in customer service or parts sales for mechanical equipment, with ERP/CRM expertise and a collaborative mindset. On-call rotation is included.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Five years or experience in customer service or parts sales for mechanical equipment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive customer inquiries or orders via phone/email and add to CRM Systems (SAP Cloud).
• Process customer quotes within ERP system and coordinate with Production Control & Purchasing for scheduling/pricing.
• Process and confirm parts orders; verify credit terms and status; coordinate with Accounting if payment terms differ from Net 30.
• Log after-hour calls in CRM Systems (SAP Cloud) for After Sales profitability.
• Manage and track order status for customer portfolio; follow up until delivery.
• Maintain electronic filing of order documents in CRM Systems (SAP Cloud).
• Participate in regular rotating weekly 24/7 on-call schedule for non-business hours.
• Process warranty claims and applicable credit memos.
• Proactively contact customers within assigned region.
• Maintain customers' information in SAP ERP including Contacts, payment terms, incoterms, shipping information.
