Job summary

Chart Industries, Inc. (Howden, a Chart Industries Company) is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join the customer care team in Windsor, CT.

You will deliver timely information to internal and external customers, process orders, and manage lead times and tracking details for quick turnaround product lines. The role requires strong communication, 2+ years in customer service, and proficiency with ERP and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Respond to quotes, pricing, and lead times for quick turnaround product lines.
• Process new orders accurately and provide updated lead times and tracking information.
• Prioritize and respond to emails and calls daily.
• Prepare submittal packets for Sales Team.
• Identify and resolve problems; escalate complaints when needed.

What Will You Do?

We are searching for an upbeat and efficient Customer Service Specialist with a positive attitude to join our customer care team. The individual in this key role will deliver information to both internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner.

Key responsibilities

• Promptly respond to external customers and channel partners with on time quotations, pricing, and lead times on one of our quick turnaround product lines.
• Build relationships with customers by efficiently and accurately processing new orders as well as providing continuous updated lead time and tracking information.
• Prioritize and respond to a moderate volume of emails and calls daily.
• Prepare submittal packets for Sales Team.
• Recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively, escalating complaints or issues when needed.

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

Your Experience Should Be...

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a customer service role
• Order entry in an ERP system Or Baan preferred
• Excellent clerical skills
• Experience with contract review/administration
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, and Access.

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written
• Ability to respond appropriately under pressure
