Full-time position available with the City Planning & Development Department, Permits Division located at 414 East 12th Street

Salary Range: $19.27-$29.39/hour

Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. *Telework available 1 day per week after completion of 6-month probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Prepares inspection reports for field inspection staff.
• Provides radio support for field staff, contacts utility companies for release of utilities upon completion of inspections.
• Contacts utility companies for release of utilities upon completion of inspections.
• Serves as the receptionist for permit customers and citizens visiting the permit center.
• Provides information to walk-in customers and other City Departments regarding City Planning permitting procedures.
• Reviews customer requests for project status and provides information regarding processes.
  
  

Qualifications

REQUIRES high school graduation and 3 years of public or private sector experience in customer service work at the level of Customer Service Representative or higher; OR an equivalent combination of education and responsible customer service experience at the level of Customer Service Representative or higher.
