Lakes Gas Co is a family-owned propane provider with locations across the Midwest, including Wisconsin. We are hiring a Customer Service Representative to greet customers, handle walk-ins, calls, and emails, and support branch operations with accuracy and care.

The role emphasizes customer-facing service, invoicing, data entry, and collaborative teamwork in a local, small-office environment. Competitive hourly pay with benefits and vacation.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong data-entry abilities and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn and navigate web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to customers and potential customers at walk-in, phone, or email channels.
• Coordinate with Branch Manager to schedule service work.
• Close sales on inbound/outbound calls and emails.
• Solicit and collect payments on past-due invoices and manage account balances.
• Handle cash and credit card activities and perform reconciliations.
• Process branch mail and in-and-outgoing deliveries (with valid ID).
• Make daily bank deposits and assist with weekly/monthly reporting.
• Monitor and order office supplies and tools per procedures.
• Promptly and accurately code vendor invoices for payment.
• Lift up to 30 pounds to assist customers with cylinder fills.
• Travel within the regional area as required for coverage.
