AVW Equipment Co., Inc. in Maywood, IL is seeking a responsive Customer Service Representative - Parts to assist customers and service technicians with parts, pricing, and orders.

You will troubleshoot technical questions, quote parts, and guide customers through the full sales process. You will work with walk-in customers, coordinate with outside sales, and ensure accurate invoicing and timely back-order follow-ups.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, quote, order, and provide parts for customers and service techs.
• Assist walk-in customers in selecting parts and recommending related items.
• Provide professional, friendly service to customers, suppliers, drivers, etc.
• Handle customer complaints tactfully and promptly on parts issues.
• Answer calls with price quotes and information.
• Create and track activity in JobBoss software.
• Follow up on back-ordered parts.
• Assist outside sales reps with orders.
• Ensure all charge sales are signed and invoices distributed.
• Process returns and verify invoices/pricing.

Job Summary:

The primary role of the Customer Service Representative - Parts is to communicate effectively with customers, understand their needs, and ensure a smooth sales process. A Customer Service Representative will provide technical troubleshooting, answer inquiries and send follow-up information as needed. You will keep up with product and service information as well as any relevant updates. A Customer Service Representative should be able to build instant rapport and build customer satisfaction.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assisting customers & service technicians by troubleshooting, quoting, ordering, and providing parts.
• Assist walk-in customers in selecting required parts, suggest companion requirements, offer specials, and ensure that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
• Professional and friendly customer service to all customers, suppliers, delivery drivers, etc.
• Handle customer complaints tactfully, promptly, with genuine concern, deals directly with customer complaints stemming from parts issues.
• Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
• Notifies the customer when special ordered parts have been received.
• Candidate will create and track all activity thru JobBoss software.
• Follows up on back-ordered parts.
• Verifies will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors, or stocks those items not picked up or required.
• Assists outside sales representatives with their orders.
• Ensures that all charge sales are signed by the customer.
• Ensures that all customers receive their copy of the invoice.
• Issues credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified.
• Keeps current on new products and product updates.

• Minimum 1 year of sales experience.
