Job summary

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company in Tempe, AZ, is seeking a customer-focused Intermodal and Equipment Customer Service Specialist. You will serve as the primary contact for customers and vendors nationwide, handling inquiries, maintaining records, and guiding issues to resolution.

The role requires on-site presence five days a week and building strong relationships across MSC's systems. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in logistics or related fields,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in a similar role (supply chain, transportation, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, customer service, etc.).
• Experience focusing on customer service and intermodal/equipment support is advantageous.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and standard MS Office tools is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for Intermodal and Equipment customers and vendors nationwide.
• Maintain records and provide timely, accurate support for inquiries and issues.
• Escalate complex problems to appropriate internal departments for resolution.
• Maintain updated records in MSC Systems and MS Dynamics 365 CS.
• Apply knowledge of Intermodal/Equipment workflows for assigned geographies.
• Presence required on-site 5 days per week.
• Perform other duties as required.

Job Summary

Serves as the primary point of contact for Intermodal and Equipment customers and vendors, providing timely and accurate support, resolving inquiries and issues, maintaining customer and vendor records, and ensuring a high level of service while supporting efficient logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Fields Intermodal / Equipment questions from customers and vendors, on a nationwide basis.
• Establishes and maintains positive relationships with customers and vendors.
• Provides timely and accurate response to inquiries, following corporate guidelines. Generates potential solutions to issues. Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve problems and concerns or further escalates unique or complex customer issues to the appropriate internal department for resolution when necessary.
• Maintains updated records of customers & vendors interactions in MSC Systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service, MSC proprietary systems).
• Maintains a good level of knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service functionalities pertaining to Intermodal / Equipment CS activities and of Intermodal /Equipment workflows and procedures for the geographies under scope.
• Presence required on-site 5 days per week.
• Performs other duties as required.
