Job summary

Sherman Schrock-Farmers Insurance Agency in Westminster, Colorado seeks a Customer Service Representative who enjoys helping people and building relationships. You will greet clients, process changes, explain coverage, and identify gaps to protect families.

You will also manage records, assist with quotes, and support a welcoming office. A Colorado Property & Casualty license and a high school diploma are required; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active Colorado Property & Casualty license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service experience in a professional office.
• Strong comfort level with computers and multitasking.
• Excellent verbal communication with a friendly phone presence.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients warmly and handle incoming service requests with care and accuracy.
• Process policy changes, payments, and document updates in a timely manner.
• Help our policyholders understand their coverage details so they feel confident and secure.
• Identify potential gaps in coverage to ensure our clients are fully protected against the unexpected.
• Collaborate with the agency owner to maintain an organized, welcoming, and efficient office environment.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure all regulatory requirements are met with precision.
• Develop insurance quotes, make sales presentations, and close sales.
• Treat each customer contact as a cross and up-sell opportunity including financial products.
• Presents and explains insurance policy options based upon prospective client needs and their personal goals.

Requirements

Active Colorado Property & Casualty insurance license.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Customer service experience in a professional office setting.

Strong comfort level with computers and navigating multiple browser-based programs simultaneously.

Excellent verbal communication skills with a clear, friendly phone presence.

Active Life & Health insurance license is a plus.

Experience with agency management software is helpful but not mandatory.

Possess a genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive and resourceful and be coachable.

Possess an upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude.

Confident, self-starter who works well independently.

Bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish is beneficial.

Ability to take initiative, be proactive, and think outside the box.
