Job summary

Gardner-White Furniture in Traverse City is seeking a Customer Service Representative to greet customers, answer inquiries, and assist with purchases, creating a positive shopping experience. You will help resolve issues and build long-term relationships with shoppers.

This role involves handling inquiries both in person and by phone, collaborating with stores to manage overflow calls, and staying informed about inventory, promotions, and product details to provide accurate information daily.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of customer service and/or call center experience preferred but not required.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Friendly and approachable demeanor with a passion for helping others.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of furniture products and industry trends is a plus.
• Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office experience.
• Cash handling and/or accounting experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Gardner White stores to take overflow calls, assist with administrative duties as assigned, and coordinate with internal departments.
• Research various software platforms and social media such as Storis, Podium, Dispatch Track, Facebook, and Instagram to input pertinent information and respond daily.
• Develop a deep understanding of our furniture products, including features, materials, and styles.
• Stay updated on product inventory, promotions, and sales events to provide accurate information to customers.
• Other duties as assigned.
