Job summary

Gardner White Furniture & Mattress in Traverse City, MI is seeking a Customer Service Representative to be the primary contact for customers, assist with inquiries and purchases, and resolve issues to ensure a positive shopping experience.

This part-time or full-time role requires a friendly, problem-solving minded individual who can multitask in a fast-paced retail environment and work with store teams to deliver outstanding service, pricing, and availability information.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of customer service and/or call center experience preferred but not required.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Friendly and approachable demeanor with a passion for helping others.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of furniture products and industry trends is a plus.
• Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office experience.
• Cash handling and/or accounting experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly in person and over the phone and assist them with product inquiries, pricing, and availability.
• Work to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction, escalating complex matters to management when necessary.
• Partner with Gardner White stores to take overflow calls, assist with administrative duties as assigned, and coordinate with internal departments.
• Research various software platforms and social media such as Storis, Podium, Dispatch Track, Facebook, and Instagram to input pertinent information and respond daily.
• Develop a deep understanding of our furniture products, including features, materials, and styles.
• Stay updated on product inventory, promotions, and sales events to provide accurate information to customers.
• Other duties as assigned.
