Job Description

The Customer Service Representative will be the main point of contact for their assigned customers, providing assistance, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience. The successful candidate must possess a strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and be willing to accept diversified responsibilities. This individual must maintain the highest level of integrity, company security, and confidentiality, all while possessing a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

The Customer Service Representative responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist customers with onboarding and setup
  • Serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries regarding orders, shipments, and charges
  • Schedule and communicate appointments for transportation and warehousing
  • Review receipts and orders for accuracy before confirming charges
  • Investigate claims, discrepancies, process returns, and request credits as needed; escalate to management when necessary
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer concerns quickly and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and transactions
  • Analyze EDI reports to identify trends, errors, and areas for improvement
  • Work with the Inventory team to review accuracy
  • Send order confirmations and notify customers of changes, shortages, or delays
  • Generate and send picking tickets and BOLs for processing
  • Respond to customer requests and complaints promptly and effectively
Minimum Requirements
  • Proven experience as a CSR or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of inventory management and customer service principles
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in customer service
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in ERP, TMS, and/or WMS systems
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other PC-based programs
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor, team-oriented, highly detail-oriented, organized, resourceful, enthusiastic, and positive; maintain confidentiality; thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to train and work closely with managers professionally
  • Strong analytical, customer service, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
