JOIN THE PSC FAMILY: Customer Service Representative

Position: Customer Service Representative

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Summary: PSC Group is hiring a Customer Service Representative to join our team at a safety-minded facility in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, keen attention to detail, advanced computer skills, and the ability to multi-task in a chemical plant environment.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 10 am - 6 pm, with some Saturdays as required by workload.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Communicate directly with shippers (customers sending products to the rail terminal via railcar).
• Work in an industrial environment.
• Process customer orders using various computer inventory systems and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Create and manage a daily load schedule.
• Schedule motor carriers.
• Verify work instructions via customer data sheets.
• Red tag railcars if necessary.
• Verify that motor carrier drivers are entered into the INA system prior to loading.
• Ensure proper weights of loads are met before releasing drivers and verify bill of lading.
• Oversee that loaders are taking necessary customer samples and entering those samples into the inventory management system.

Job Qualifications:

• Prior experience utilizing SAP is preferred.
• Experience working in a chemical plant, industrial, or manufacturing environment is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to follow OSHA safety standards and maintain safety consciousness.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Must be 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• Stable work history with good references.
• Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Military experience and ability to follow procedures are a plus.
