Job summary

Halperns' Steak & Seafood in Orlando, FL is seeking a Customer Service Representative to provide friendly, efficient order processing and delivery support via phone, email, and web.

The role requires strong written and verbal communication, multitasking, and the ability to balance customer needs with system accuracy. Prior food-service experience and knowledge of our product line are a plus; benefits are provided after 30 days. Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of prior experience; food-industry experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between Outside Sales and customer.

Strengthens customer relationships through strong product knowledge and product application, delivery coordination, and error resolution.**Essential Functions:*** Serve as liaison between the Outside Sales Representative and customer.* Develop and Maintain customer relationships.* Supports and partners within assigned division and customer assignment.* Manages customer orders manually and completes timely callbacks/e-mails to discuss edits and confirm complete orders.* Maintain current knowledge of product and system status within divisions to assist Outside Sales Representatives and customers.* Serves as information resource to Outside Sales Representatives, on product related questions regarding inventory levels and general product information* Arrange exception deliveries in collaboration with Transportation departments, 3rd party order/delivery systems, aligned with Halperns'.* Support Outside Sales Representatives with order entry.* Performs other duties as assigned.**Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:*** Must have excellent written, verbal, organizational and communication skills.* Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and be able to work independently or within a team environment.* Highly motivated self starter with a focus on details and accuracy in a fast paced environment* Must be a strategic thinker, inquisitive, innovative, and creative in order to build relationships, network, link resources and apply business practices* Must have good customer service and time management skills.* Ability to problem solve and develop solutions on a variety of complex business issues with the ability to balance customer needs within the framework of Gordon Food Service business practices* Ability to demonstrate understanding of Foodservice industry and operations for Non Commercial Segment* Ability to adapt to frequent technological and GFS proprietary application changes and program functions (used Chains)* Understand USDA dietary regulations and commodities* Ability to perform 10-key data entry**Educational & Experience Requirements:*** At least 1 year of previous experience is needed.* Experience in food Industry is preferred* High School or EquivalentYou are required to provide your most recent employment experience for your application to be considered complete.**BE PART OF AN AMAZING CULTURE WHERE WHAT MATTERS TO YOU, MATTERS TO US!**Halperns' Steak & Seafood values our customers and understands that their success is largely dependent upon their workforce.
