Customer Service Representative - Remote - eviCore (Finance)

If you want to make a difference and help people, have excellent communication skills, and can problem-solve with a cool head, eviCore Healthcare, a subsidiary of The Cigna Group, wants you to join our team! By joining our non-clinical team, you will help manage the benefit needs of inbound callers from start to finish, while delivering excellent patient-provider care.

Responsibilities
  1. Accept a daily average of 80-100 inbound calls from Health Plan clients and providers seeking pre-authorization.
  2. Properly handle and verify patient records under HIPAA and PHI, maintaining confidentiality for each call.
  3. Manage multiple back-to-back calls using various applications across multiple screens, entering all patient, provider, and imaging center data accurately.
  4. Follow the complete formal script pathway with each caller, and transfer calls that cannot be resolved via the script to the appropriate department.
  5. Remain client-focused at all times, with the ability to resolve customer inquiries and complaints with one call resolution.
  6. Attend 100% of the 8-week training, which includes live-call participation training.
Qualifications
  1. High School diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Prior customer service experience is strongly preferred.
  3. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook; strong written, organizational, and verbal communication skills.
  4. Excellent customer focus with the ability to diffuse difficult callers constructively.
  5. Take accountability and ownership to solve problems efficiently.
  6. Engaged, coachable, and upbeat attitude, willing to be a positive role model.
  7. Team player who shares knowledge, offers, and accepts support.
  8. Flexible, open-minded, and adaptable to business changes or needs.
  9. Self-confident and empowered to use good judgment to do what is right and keep promises.

For this position, the hourly rate is anticipated to be $17.75 - $19 USD, depending on experience and location.

This role may be eligible for an annual bonus plan.
