Job summary

Renishaw is seeking a Customer Service Representative for our West Dundee, IL office. The role focuses on processing orders, providing product information, and ensuring on-time delivery with strong communication to customers and internal teams.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of customer service experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office. This onsite position offers benefits and opportunities in a global engineering company.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process orders and quotes received via fax, mail, email, telephone, web chat, or personal requests for customers or Renishaw Sales Managers.
• Directs and expedites orders for customer requirements.
• Confer with customers to provide information about products and services, including technical details, pricing, shipping information and delays.
• Follow up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates.
• Coordinate product returns and customer complaints.
• Interface with internal and external customers; escalate issues as needed.

The Customer Service Representative interacts with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about products and services. This is primarily an onsite position located at our West Dundee, IL office.

Responsibilities

• Process orders and quotes for material or service received via fax, mail, email telephone, web chat, or personal requests for customers or Renishaw Sales Managers paying special attention to accuracy and detail
• Directs and expedites orders for customer requirements
• Confer with customers to provide information about products and services. This may include technical details, pricing, shipping information, anticipated delays and any additional information needed by customer
• Follow up on orders to ensure delivery to specified dates
• Coordinates product returns and customer complaints
• Interfaces with all internal and external customers
• Escalates issues to higher authorities

• Ability to build rapport with prospective customers/ customers

Education and Experience:

• Minimum High school diploma
• 3 – 5 years of customer service experience
• Proficient with Microsoft office applications especially Outlook, Word and Excel

Preferred:

• Export logistics knowledge
• Interest in manufacturing technology
• Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems
• Experience with enterprise Resource Planning software applications especially operations (ERP)
• Prior experience working with technical products in a sale or purchasing environment

Compensation Range

Compensation Range-Non-exempt, hourly role (Annual estimate) $50,000 to $55,000(depending on experience level) In an effort to comply with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates regarding cash compensation, Renishaw sets standard pay ranges for all U.S.-based roles as established by job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, as well as geographic location, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
