Job summary

The City of Oak Grove is seeking a full-time Customer Service Rep/Permit Technician to review permit applications for accuracy and issue permits. The role schedules inspections, manages plan submissions, and supports the Community Development Department including Planning and Zoning Meetings.

The ideal candidate will bring strong customer service, AR experience, and excellent organizational skills. Proficiency with office equipment and software is expected.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous customer service, accounts receivable experience, and strong people skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review permit applications for content correctness and issue permits.
• Schedule inspections and log/distribute building plans for plan examination.
• Attend Planning and Zoning Meetings on behalf of the Community Development Department.
• Perform data entry and posting of accounts receivable payments.
• Handle multiple tasks with courtesy and professionalism in person and by phone.
• Maintain accuracy and integrity in filing and records management.
