Job summary

HEARTLAND CO-OP in Dexter, IA is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to assist the location manager with daily operations. Responsibilities include handling customer transactions, payments, and maintaining inventory records.

The role requires basic arithmetic, cash handling, and knowledge of grain/inventory software. A valid driver's license and CDL may be required by the location manager. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Knowledge of grain and inventory software.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service via email, in person, telephone and live chat.
• Bills products, receives payments, runs scale and tracks inventory.
• Assists in resolving customer concerns, complaints and issues.
• Maintains grain, petroleum, feed and/or agronomy records with location manager.
• Accepts and records prepayments and bookings for products.
• Prices and processes payment for commodities delivered by customers.
• Removes cash, reconciles cash in register, and prepares deposits.
• Develops knowledge of products and services offered.
• Exhibits self-motivation and multitasking ability with attention to detail.
