Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Operator in Pullman, WA to deliver high-quality telephone service to customers and partners. You will route calls securely, assist with sales orders and RMAs, and help create cases in SEL's systems to ensure outstanding service.

You will update customer information, share feedback with leadership, and support account management while embracing SEL Values and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of organized, friendly customer service.
• Excellent phone etiquette, professionalism, and communication skills.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest quality telephone service to customers, suppliers, fellow employees, and community members.
• Route calls to requested destinations while following security procedures.
• Assist in creating cases in SEL's systems to provide outstanding service.
• Document and share customer feedback with regional leadership.
• Handle customer support activities including entry of sales orders, RMAs, and routing emails.
• Manage account information tasks with security protocols (passwords, access, data updates).
• Assist in creating company accounts and converting leads in systems.
• Suggest process improvements and apply SEL values and operating principles.
• Perform other duties as assigned, potentially including office administration.

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is looking for someone to join our Sales and Customer Service team as a Customer Service Operator in Pullman, WA. If you enjoy helping customers, providing exceptional service, and working in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing the highest quality telephone service to customers, suppliers, fellow employees, and community members;
• Routing calls to requested destinations while following security procedures.
• Assisting in finding technical coverage and creating cases in SEL's business systems to provide outstanding service to our customers.
• Documenting and sharing customer feedback with regional leadership.
• Engaging in customer support activities including the entry of sales orders, RMAs, and the routing of quotation and support emails.
• Managing and assisting customers with account information, including granting access, changing passwords, unlocking accounts, and updating information while following security protocols for accounts on the website.
• Assisting in the creation of company accounts and the conversion of customer leads in SEL's business systems.
• Initiating process improvement suggestions.
• Following and applying SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
• Performing other duties as assigned (may include office administration and other support duties).

Qualifications

Pay Range

Pay Range Data $27.69 - 40.91 per hour. We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
