Job summary

Michaels is hiring for a store associate at our Martinsburg, WV location. You’ll help customers, ring up sales, and assist with in-store services like BOPIS and SFS. You will stock, recover merchandise, and keep shelves well organized while following SOPs and safety rules.

Experience in retail or customer service is preferred. The role requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting, with opportunities to cross-train in framing sales.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Able to move throughout the store.
• Willingness to participate in truck unloading and shelving.
• Cross-trained in related framing selling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help customers locate products and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience with accurate cash handling.
• Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
• Maintain merchandise recovery and in-stock conditions; handle returns and go-backs.
• Support shrink and safety programs; adhere to SOPs and company policies.
