Job summary

Food Lion in Beaufort, SC is seeking a part-time Front End Associate to provide fast, friendly service and accurate checkout experiences. You will greet customers, process transactions, maintain front-end cleanliness and uphold company standards.

The role requires effective communication, dependability and the ability to learn cashier and service center procedures. You will wear the Food Lion uniform and support store operations during peak times and with basic POS tasks.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform cashier and service center tasks.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and uses his or her name whenever possible.
• Maintain knowledge of office procedures including cash reports, register checkups, deposits and money orders.
• Ensure work station and front end area of the store has a neat and clean presentation.
• Report any register malfunction to the Customer Service Manager or actions taken to resolve.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge, maintain neat appearance and dress code.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and notify QA of issues.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
