Job summary

The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack of California is seeking a Customer Service Lead to deliver exceptional customer experiences while leading the service center during assigned hours. This role combines advanced customer service with on-site leadership and operational accountability.

You will mentor staff, uphold safety standards, and partner with technicians to drive sales and customer retention. A high school diploma and 3–5 years in service are required, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of service industry experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• In-depth knowledge of automotive service and parts.
• Strong customer service and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced Customer Service Advisor duties and resolve complex customer concerns.
• Act as key holder, opening/closing the store and handling security procedures.
• Lead on duty when the Service Center Manager is not present.
• Mentor, train, and onboard Customer Service Advisors.
• Assist with interviewing and evaluating candidates and provide feedback to support team development.
• Collaborate with technicians to ensure efficient, customer-focused service operations.
