Job summary

Pep Boys Inc is hiring a Customer Service Lead to deliver exceptional experiences and lead daily service center operations. This role combines advanced customer service with key holder responsibilities and on-site leadership during shifts without management present.

The CSL mentors teammates, assists with hiring, and partners with technicians to ensure safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Flexibility for days, nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of service industry experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
• In-depth knowledge of automotive service, maintenance and parts.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced Customer Service Advisor duties, serving as a role model for exceptional customer experiences and resolving complex issues.
• Act as a subject matter expert on products, services, systems, and shop procedures.
• Open and close the store as a key holder and complete cash-handling and security procedures.
• Lead on duty when the Service Center Manager is not present and ensure smooth daily operations.
• Mentor, train, and onboard Customer Service Advisors and provide feedback for team development.
• Assist with interviewing and evaluating candidates and supporting management.
• Collaborate with technicians and management to ensure efficient service operations and drive sales.
• Promote a safe, compliant, and team-oriented work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
