Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a Customer Service Lead in Abilene, TX. The CSL will open/close the service center, supervise daily operations, mentor staff, and ensure safety and superior customer experiences.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive customer service knowledge, and the ability to resolve complex issues while driving service efficiency. This position often serves as the on-site leader during off-manager hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of service industry experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• In-depth knowledge of automotive service, maintenance and parts.
• Ability to work Days, Nights, Weekends, Holidays.
• Advanced communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform all Customer Service Advisor duties at an advanced level, modeling exceptional service.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on products, services, systems, and shop procedures.
• Open and close the store as key holder, manage security procedures.
• Lead on duty when the Service Center Manager is not present.
• Mentor, train, and onboard Customer Service Advisors.
• Assist with interviewing and evaluating candidates.
• Partner with technicians and management to ensure efficient service operations.
• Promote safe, compliant, team-oriented work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
