Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Hickory, NC. You will be the face of our service team, assisting customers with rentals, products, and services, and using U-Scan to manage inventory and dispatch.

You’ll inspect equipment, help with hitch installations, fill propane, and participate in U-Haul University training. A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Customer service mindset and ability to educate customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot including fluids.
• Answer questions and educate customers about products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and accept returned equipment.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane (certification offered upon employment).
• Drive a forklift (certification offered upon employment).
• Other duties as assigned.
• Participate in continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
